Born in Spain, Carlota Guerrero is a distinguished photographer, film-maker and art director whose self-taught journey began in her early teenage years. Renowned for seamlessly blending photography and filmmaking with her distinct art direction and choreography, Carlota’s artistry is characterised by a unique fusion of feminism, nature, and performance, resulting in work that is both subversive and ethereal. Her breakthrough came when she collaborated with singer-songwriter Solange, contributing to the artwork and art direction for the critically acclaimed “A Seat at the Table” album. This collaborative work continued when she teamed up with the poet Rupi Kaur to art direct a live performance of Kaur’s poems in New York. She has since worked with artists including Rosalía, Arca, and Björk among many others. Along with her art direction and collaboration with Paloma Wool her point of view as an artist and art director has attracted global brands such as Givenchy, Balmain, Nike, Dior, Mugler, and Helmut Lang. Her work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Numéro, Pop Magazine, TIME, and The New Yorker. She lives in Barcelona.
